As I’ve said before, making my handmade jewelry is a slow and deliberate process. I find so much satisfaction out of the self-discovery that comes from this regular practice of mine.
Each project is a wearable piece of art that has its moments of transformation from raw metal, to fabricated notions, to the full assemblage that it becomes.
When I work with silver plate platters, as I often do, I feel so good that I’m taking a work of art that was once used and loved, yet no longer needed. And I’m turning into something that will be used and loved and once again appreciated for the lovely new work of art that it has now become.
